The existing lounge was extended to provide a bright and airy living space, enhanced by the use of full width doors and a vaulted ceiling. The following testimonial is from the owners.....
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Steve Garten Builders. Our garden room extension was built by Dale Garten, who provided first class professional advice and service throughout the build. His small team and the tradesmen used were equally professional and cannot be faulted. Dale effectively project managed the build dealing directly with the structural engineer, building inspector, window suppliers and trades ensuring smooth completion of the work in a timely manner.
Nothing was too much trouble for Dale who was always friendly and reliable, also he was happy and able to accommodate additional requests and any changes we asked for. Laying a new patio and installing new engineered wood flooring are examples of additions to the extension completed by Dale. All the work was carried out to an extremely high standard, to budget and completed as promised. To put it quite simply we would never consider having anyone other than Dale to do any future building work for us.

A traditional oak fronted cart barn can provide a more sympathetic alternative to a garage or car port. This example was recently completed for a customer in Woodton, and can comfortably house three vehicles.
Renovation and Extension of Mill House

We were extremely fortunate to be recommended to approach Steve Garten Builders for a quotation for the substantial renovation of our home. From our initial meeting our instincts advised us to choose them based on from their very professional approach and attitude. This was even before they submitted a very competitive quotation for the work.
It is a very emotive time having your home renovated/rebuilt and it is crucial that we felt able to discuss fully all aspects and understand what was happening and why. Dale, son of Steve Garten works and stays on site throughout ensuring work progresses smoothly and provides advice on works not envisaged, so no shocks around the corner await. Our ideas/thoughts were supported and guided – eg. in that a chimney breast is not just a chimney breast but can be enhanced through their experience at no greater cost to create a lovely stylish chimney with their imaginative use of bricks. The experience they have in building/renovation was absolutely marvellous and gave us the opportunity to sleep at night. The renovations works and extension were completed on schedule.
Looking back, we cannot believe what has been achieved by using Steve Garten Builders and in particular Dale’s experience and hands on approach to everything certainly supported the whole project through.
One year on since completion, we would have no hesitation to recommend Dale and Team of Steve Garten Builders to friends and family for any works to be done.

Remodelling and Extension of The Oaks
The extensive remodelling of this delightful property involved the removal of a previous single-storey extension, and replacement with a two-storey extension and large sunroom.
Ever mindful that the new work should blend sympathetically with the existing property, care was taken to make the new part look like it had always been there -to the point of increasing the height of the window in the original building to align perfectly with the doorway in the new works (compare pictures below).

Design Studio & Cart Barn
Our client's requirements were for the removal of an unsightly outbuilding, to be replaced with a purpose built design studio and cart barn.
Being a design studio it was imperative that the interior was light and contemporary, while the exterior was sympathetic to the adjacent traditional buildings.
An efficient, polite and courteous service from start to finish. With all aspects of the project being managed by Dale Garten, the build was on time, on budget and exceeded our expectations on every level. Following completion we have moved into the design studio and we love it!
